Course Goals:
This session introduces a systematic approach to implementing a Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy Protocol within a General Dental Practice. Understanding all Systemic Links and High Risk scenarios each patient (host) brings to their oral care is key as well as reducing inflammatory markers to arrest active Periodontal Disease. The concept of Non-Surgical Periodontal Therapy through Periodontal Scaling and Root Planing either by Quadrant (four or more teeth treated), or Localized, (three teeth or less), as per the Current Dental Terminology (CDT) and codeology set forth by the American Dental Association, including the latest Gingivitis code will be extensively discussed.
